To make them extra special, once fried and soaked in sugar syrup they can be drizzled with the amazing flavour of rabri. Rabri is a milk dessert Boondi Ladoo is a fried chickpea granules soaked in sugar syrup Gulab Jamun is a fried sweet that's made out of milk solids, rose water, cardamom, and sugar.

The ingredients needed to make Rabdi Gulab Jamun:
- Get 1 cup milk powder
- Prepare 1/4 cup refined flour
- Prepare 2 tbsp ghee
- Get 1/2 tsp baking powder
- Prepare Milk to knead
- Get 2 cups water
- Get 2 cups sugar
- Make ready 1/4 tbsp cadamom powder
- Take strands Saffron
- Make ready 1/4 tsp lemon juice
- Make ready 1/2 tsp rose water
- Get For rabdi
- Make ready 1/2 lit milk
- Take 1 tsp corn flour dissolved in milk
- Get 2 tbsp milk powder
- Prepare 1-2 tbsp sugar as per taste
- Prepare Ghee/ oil for frying
Rabri with Gulab Jamun: This homemade Rabri is great to serve just as is or with gulab jamun (like I did), Malpua or rasgulla. Sky is the limit to your imagination on how you can serve this creamy, rich and decadent Rabri. I served with store bought gulab jamun, but if you have the time, go ahead and make them yourself. Chop half Gulab jamun to be mixed with rabdi and reserve some for garnishing At this stage sugar can be added.
Steps to make Rabdi Gulab Jamun:
- In a bowl take milk powder, refined flour, baking powder and ghee. Mix all ingredients well. Add little milk and make a dough. Don't knead it too much. Let it rest for 10 min.
- Now make small balls of it. Flat it on the palm and put some chopped nuts in the center and make ball again. Balls should be smooth. There should not be cracks in the ball.
- Heat ghee in a wok and fry these balls on low flame. Meanwhile make sugar syrup. Heat water and sugar in a pan. Cook it for 6- 7 min. Add cardamom powder,saffron, rose water and lemon juice to it.
- Add gulab jamuns to sugar syrup immediately after frying. Soak it in syrup about 2 hrs. So that they become spongy. For rabdi heat milk in a pan. Add milk powder and sugar to it Now dissolve cornflour in 2 tbsp milk and add to rabdi.Add chopped nuts to it. Cook it for 10 min. Rabdi is ready to serve.
- Serve gulab jamuns with rabdi and enjoy.
