  2. Get 1 cup gud/jaggery
  3. Take 1 cup roasted white sesame seeds
  4. Take 1/2 cup oil

Basically these are small and slightly thick flatbreads made with jaggery and whole wheat flour. Gud ki roti is made in Punjabi homes. this is a family recipe I am sharing. Cook till you get a thick syrup. Cover with a plastic wrap and press and spread the chikki to make a thin layer.

Instructions to make Gud poli jaggery roti:
  1. Take kadhai add gul- jaggery. Add 1/4th cup water. Stir it till gul melts completely.
  2. Then keep it aside to cool down. Take oil in pan & add besan.roast it till golden brown. Cool it. Add roasted besan & roasted sesame seed powder in gul. Mix it well
  3. For covering take wheat flour, maida,besan and add hot oil in it. Make dough of it. Dough should not be loose. Then make small balls of dough
  4. Roll two puris of the dough. Take one puri put gul on rolled puri, spread it till edges. Then put second puri on it. Press it from all the sides.
  5. Then make roti of it. Roast it on tawa from both sides. Serve it with pure ghee.

Cook till you get a thick syrup. Cover with a plastic wrap and press and spread the chikki to make a thin layer. Veg Pongal: Dry roast moong dal in a pressure cooker until it is slightly fragrant and browned. In Pune, Puran Poli is eaten with a variant of Amti (flavored sour curry) known as Katachi Amti is prepared with the remaining water of Chana Dal used to make Puran.
