Adding Milk enhanced the flavor of the sweet Pongal. I always add a pinch of edible camphor to give it the temple style flavour. I make this many times and thought I should share the recipe here.   1. First heat a frying pan. Fry moong dall then rice in low flame
  2. Then wash the rice and dall.
  3. Cook the rice and moong dall in the pressure cooker with milk, cardomon, salt and water. Cook for one or two whistles.
  4. Can also cook in an ordinary vessel or traditional pot
  5. When the rice and dall is ready add coconut, Jaggery powder, sugar and stir well
  6. Pour ghee in a pan. Fry cashew nuts and add it to the rice. Stir well add ghee if you prefer more
  7. Sweet pongal is ready
