  1. Make ready 2 cups overnight soaked black channe
  2. Make ready 1 tsp grated ginger
  3. Get 1 pinch asefetida
  4. Get 1 tsp cumin seeds

  6. Get 1 tbspn oil
  7. Prepare 3-4 chopped green chillies
  8. Take 2 tsp coriander powder
  9. Prepare 1/4 tsp red chilli powder
  10. Get 1 and half tspn amchur powder
  11. Prepare as required chopped coriander leaves

It is a delicious side dish in main meal, also good complimentary dish with the drinks. Kala Chana are excellent source of proteins and vitamins. Just as with any other dry bean, the first thing you will have to do before cooking dried chickpeas is to soak them. It's best done overnight but if you forget and are in a pinch, there is a shortcut you can take.

Instructions to make Dry channa:
  1. Boil the soaked chana.
  2. In a pan heat oil add Cumin seeds, asafoetida, grated ginger and green chillies saute them for a while then add the boiled channa.
  3. Add salt, red chilli powder, coriander powder, amchur powder and mix well. Cook it for 4-5 minutes.
  4. Add coriander leaves our dry chana are ready to serve. Enjoy with Puri.
